Sunrise to Sunset

My perfect day in Fountain Hills would begin by looking east to a beautiful sunrise over the Superstition Mountains and Four Peaks. Walking around the World’s Tallest Fountain in Fountain Park, breathing fresh air and listening to the nature sounds of the birds and fowl exhilarates our senses. Breakfast of a bagel and juice at DJ’s is what we need. Off to CopperWynd for a massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. A bite of lunch at Phil’s Filling Station is the fuel needed to do some shopping. Our first stop is Gridley’s where you can find almost anything you need. It is the perfect place to find just the right souvenirs that depict the West. A short stroll down the Avenue of the Fountains to leads us to Sami’s Fine Jewelry. Our friends are always amazed to see the beautiful jewelry and the finest amethyst mined in our own backyard (so to speak!) Fountain Fashions is the place for that special occasion or when you want to look your very best. A drive to the Verdes, via McDowell Mountain Regional Park, affords visitors to see the virtually untouched Sonoran Desert. A stop at Chocofin is a must to enjoy a mouth-watering piece of chocolate. Dinner on the patio at The Steakhouse at Desert Canyon allows diners to view a spectacular sunset. A quick trip to Ft. McDowell Casino for a little gambling rounds out the evening before retiring to another panoramic view of our glorious desert from the patio of the Inn at Eagle Mountain where we will spend the night.
